Saturday August 15th, 2009

A day that will forever stay lodged into my memory bank! ACW's 7th anniversary AND my last night as The Voice of ACW! This show was highly emotional going into. This would be Dr. Death Steve Williams' last night wrestling, and we're honored he chose ACW to end his illustrious career. Doc unfortunately has had a long bout with throat cancer, and after being almost 5 years cancer free, his cancer came back. A big thanks to wrestlerrescue.org, which is spearheaded by former WWE/ECW diva Dawn Marie. Her and Doc have become very close and she's devoted a lot of her time to raise money so that Doc could get a vocal implant so that he wouldn't have to use his hands to speak. Well, in true ACW fashion, we surprised Doc with the lovely Dawn Marie.. surreal to see that take place in our ring! We were able to get videos from legends such as Greg Valentine, Demolition and Jerry 'The King' Lawler! Doc would later go onto win the ACW Heavyweight Championship in a very emotional match. This show would also turn into a memorable night for yours truly. I got myself into a battle royal, where the winner would receive an ACW wrestling contract. I was able to pull out all the stops and get the victory and the contract! This has been a dream come true for me. Anyone who knows me can tell you how deep my love for professional wrestling goes, and I'm very excited to begin this journey with ACW. On top of having an emotional night, we packed the house with an ACW record of 500+ people! The show from top to bottom was beautifully put together, and i think it's safe to say, we left those 500 people with a damn good show. I'll go ahead and post the highlight videos below, make sure to watch all three videos (make sure to pay close attention to part 2 starting at the 2:00 mark). The next show is September 26th at the Phil Long Expo Center, make sure to check out the show and see yours truly make my OFFICIAL ACW wrestling debut!
